One of the things I did while not posting to OD for the last few months: write a book with Jon, specifically a sourcebook for Mutants and Masterminds called The Iron Age. It won't be out for a few months, but you can check out this interview with Jon and I for a bit more information.

Over on Electrolite, Avram has discovered that ROT13 can recode words as well as encode them, including the supercool palindromic transformation of "tang" into "gnat" and--even cooler, if not a palindrome--"nowhere" into "abjurer". I expect Cory Doctorow to use this to write a Borges pastiche in the near future.

I stumbled across a mention of Photosynth while reading through the TED blog, and it looks pretty fascinating. It would be cool to plug it into Flickr and seeing what it could generate. Anyone have a more robust graphics card than me who wants to download the software and try it out?
