Looking for more information on Spore? Here's an extra 40 minutes added to the video I linked to last week: Gaming Steve's interview with Wright last year at GDC (Part One, Part Two) are also good reading. If this was the state of things last year, I can't wait to hear the Spore news coming out of GDC and E3 in the coming weeks... Tuesday, March 07, 2006
What if you blogged, but never showed anyone? You might end up with the modern equivalent of Andy Warhol's "time capsules". Sunday, March 05, 2006
I've seen most of these before, but there are a couple new ones: 10 amazing Lego creations (via Digg.) Via the Beat, comic pros have 20 questions for comic fans. For reasons that go unexplained in this venue, this one in particular resonates for me: Jim Starlin: Where do you come up with these questions? When I formulate a question to ask a comic book creator, it comes from one of two places. The first is a place of concern for a character. Is the creator going to screw something up about a character that I like? Does he realize that he might be about to screw something up about a character that I like? If I mention to him, in the form of a question, can I prevent him from screwing something up about a character that I like? The second is a need to know what is going to happen. I desperately need to know what's going to happen next, if I ask the right question, will the creator tell me? If I ask him again, will he tell me this time? What about this time? If I email him once or twice or post repeated comments on his blog will he just tell me already? |
