DC Comics stamps?!? Even if they do cost thirty-nine cents each, you had me at hello, U.S. Postal Service.Tuesday, November 29, 2005
The highlight of the Radioactive Consumer Products site has to be its page featuring depleted uranium dice (via Kevan's As Above.) <*pshht*>Hey, kid--want to buy a satellite? Over. <*pshht*> A great photo from a 1984 sat-retrieval mission (via Digg.) Monday, November 28, 2005
A fantastic package showed up over the weekend from Dr. Kasab and wife. Part of its contents prompted me to send out the following email at work today: I have at my desk a limited supply of Djungelvral, a Swedish candy and quite possibly the most terrible thing you will ever put in your mouth. Several people around the office have already been scarred. Heed their warnings, or come by my desk and try it for yourself. If you survive, you will be stronger for the experience. You can take today's tales of terror and spat-out licorice to heart, or you can see testimony on a Djungelvral variant called Saltidos at the excellent Bad-Candy.com. You've been warned. "All the Kryptonians get into airborne kung-fu fights straight out of The Matrix. Even Luthor gets in on the act at the end of the script." Perhaps you got excited when you saw the trailer for the upcoming Superman movie. Now, read the full horror story of its development (via Metafilter.) Only the fact that the 1989 Batman movie had a similarly tortured development history prevents me from screaming in horror and waking up my neighbors. |
