A fantastic package showed up over the weekend from Dr. Kasab and wife. Part of its contents prompted me to send out the following email at work today:

I have at my desk a limited supply of Djungelvral, a Swedish candy and quite possibly the most terrible thing you will ever put in your mouth. Several people around the office have already been scarred. Heed their warnings, or come by my desk and try it for yourself. If you survive, you will be stronger for the experience.

Perhaps you got excited when you saw the trailer for the upcoming Superman movie. Now, read the full horror story of its development (via Metafilter.) Only the fact that the 1989 Batman movie had a similarly tortured development history prevents me from screaming in horror and waking up my neighbors.
