Neat, though probably better for analyzing synchronicity rather than intent: watching all six Star Wars movies simultaneously (via Waxy.) Thursday, November 10, 2005
"A more novel idea is to paint the surface of the asteroid white. This should change the amount of solar energy it radiates and change its course. However, the amount of paint required could be huge." Passing through ideas like the above along the way, NASA ends up considering using a gravity tractor to save Earth from asteroids. It's too late for Halloween, but if you suddenly decide you want to pick up some part-time work as a crime-fighting vigilante in your hometown, I've found where you can pick up your uniform.Remember Kitten Bonsai and the stink eventually caused by those who didn't get the joke? Check out BabyCage and start the clock again (via Memepool, as is Magnus Opus, a site that may 'lay claim' to the copyright for your phone number.) You're a Game of Life fan. But you always wished the game weren't so damn visually crude. So you rejoice at discovering Gridgame. Then you put twenty dollars in an envelope and send it to me. (Sorry. Got carried away with the whole second-person posting thing.) I'm still working on updating Year 2 in yesterday's post, so swing down there for old link goodness. I'm digging up enough cool stuff that I think I'll make the post for each year a permanent fixture here on the front page. I'll probably set up a separate collection of all the good games I've linked to--there's a GAMES category at the bottom of the sidebar, but it kinda gets lost down there. A fellow Seattle-area comic geek and SA Goon not only dressed up as Nick Fury for Halloween, he reserved a conference room at his workplace and staged a career seminar and recruiting drive. Love it. |
