So I'm cleaning up the desktop of my computer and I'm trying to remember why I have a PDF of a counterinsurgency training manual (warning: PDF link.) Anybody?

Warner Brothers makes an IP oops, has to give more than half the 30 million dollar opening weekend take of The Dukes of Hazzard to the producer of an obscure 1978 movie (via Evhead.)

Apparently the new patch for SWAT4 not only installs rotating advertising into the game, but also code that records how long you spend looking at each ad.

Via Incoming Signals, incredible video of a shark fighting an octopus (Real Media; if you don't have Real Player installed--and you shouldn't--might I suggest Real Alternative?)

"I'm going to crush your skulls! I have a thousand years of power!"

Via just about everywhere, the super-cool Gmaps Pedometer. Pretty accurate, as far as I can tell.

The Chicago Sun-Times' online collection of articles marking the 25th anniversary of The Blues Brothers.

A podcast from space. Now that's pretty cool. (via digg)
