So I'm cleaning up the desktop of my computer and I'm trying to remember why I have a PDF of a counterinsurgency training manual (warning: PDF link.) Anybody? Thursday, August 11, 2005

"I'm going to crush your skulls! I have a thousand years of power!" Via Penny Arcade, the Smoking Gun passes along a fantastic police report from taser-wielding officers facing down a crazy man with a longsword. Monday, August 08, 2005

I remember being scared of needles as a kid, and those were just the normal ones. What kind of steely will will the children of the future need not to be terrified by the Bone Injection Gun? (via Gizmodo, but on MedGadget, a site I'll have to start checking more often.) The Chicago Sun-Times' online collection of articles marking the 25th anniversary of The Blues Brothers.
