Via Kotaku, an article on the creation of Tho Fan, a language for the game Jade Empire. Reminds me of the work I did on Karna (109K PDF link), a language for the Sovereign Stone sourcebook I wrote. Actual linguists would likely be horrendously offended by Karna, as it is based on little more than speculation and consistency, but it was pretty fun.

If your friends only force you to sign one loyalty oath this year, it should be over on GetArrested. I admit that I've gotten hooked on Arrested Development thanks to the Season One DVDs, watched Season Two as it aired, and can't wait for Season Three. Ideally, Fox will realize the terrible mistake it's made in American Dad* and put Arrested Development back in its proper place to create a true triumverate of televised comedy power.

* Maybe they just wrote the initials of the show on the scheduling card pinned to the Big Fox Sunday Schedule Bulletin Board? I mean, I love Family Guy, but the pilot of Dad floating around the Net is just terrible...

Well, it probably passed through Liana's hands last week sometime, but the rest of you can should head down to your friendly local game store starting today: Mage Knight: Omens, my first major project with WizKids, hits shelves today! I'm incredibly pleased with the expansion, thanks to the hard work of many diverse hands. Though I've done plenty of writing and game design in the past, it's particularly exciting to see something I created turned into actual, physical objects.
