Via Making Light, Holly Black's list of author's worries. Some of my favorites:

• Contract stolen by gypsies who finish book and turn it in.
  
• Contract actually from Satan. You sign anyway.
  
• Book not completed by contract date.
  
• Book completed by contract date, but terrible.
  
• Printers print book with invisible ink
  
• Next Harry Potter book sucking up all available paper. Your book printed on paper towels.

Depsite her claims, the list seems incomplete. For one thing, it doesn't say anything about the potential for my submitted manuscript files to accidenally be imported by the publisher through a foreign language filter. Or concerns that stores near family members won't be adequately stocked with the book, resulting in a career-fatal plunge in sales.

Yeah. I should probably get back to writing. Those are coming a bit too easily. Luckily, others are helping her out in the comments to the post.

Chefmobil is in the neighborhood! I'm completely swamped by a writing project right now, but I think it might be worth taking a few hours off of work to go recover him.
