Too true. This, and that recent post modern critical analysis make me feel like, in a thousand years, people will dig up the internet, and believe that George Lucas was a Deity* or something.

So, yeah. Like you say, without intent, it's an interesting experiment, but you can't read that much into Lucas's genius. Might say a lot about how many films/stories in general naturally fall into a common pace.

*To some he is, ofcourse. Personally, I love Tie Fighter more than I loved the movies. Just recently saw THX1138, and I'm interested in whether he will go back to avant garde films as he has suggested in the past.
