The DARPA Grand Challenge has a winner! Stanley, the Stanford Racing Team's robotically-piloted vehicle, completed the 132-mile course in a race time of 7 hours and 55 minutes to snag the two million dollar purse. That may only be an average of around 16 miles per hour, but it's also either an exciting sign of things to come or the next terrifying step toward Maximum Overdrive.
