For those of us who don't wish to become on-line registrants of the so-called Newspaper of Record, can you explain further? (Or, at least, show us what they're thinking of?)
Someone at DC must have heard this guy; they are apparently replacing their classic logo with a (shudder) new one. DC has actually done so at least one other time that I can remember--hopefully they'll go back on the decision this time, too.
The old DC bullet could probably stand to be modernized--I'd say that it's mostly the font used for the "DC"--but I agree that the proposed new logo is not useful.

It certainly doesn't promote any sort of tie-in to the larger Warner Brothers (or AOL) brand that might get it broader brand awareness. |
