Picking rocks out of farmer's fields, digging very deep holes with rented power tools, hauling around dirt and mulch in a wheelbarrow as old as I am, mixing concrete and burying a surprise for future archeologists, driving four classes of vehicle in less than 24 hours, washing paint and dust and blood off my hands--a weekend at my parents' cabin is always a complete change from my everyday life. Which, along with the chance to visit my folks, is why I love going there so much.
