Words for the wise from the mouth of a fool. |

I've been having an encounter with synchronicity in the wee hours, spending my night watching reruns of programs where characters are talking about how they're stressed out and can't sleep. So what have I been doing in the meantime? I've been Googling for an hour and can't find the answer to a simple question: what is the source of the phrase "far from the things of man"? I can find Biblical references to "the things of man", and the addition of "far from" sounds vaguely Shakespearean, but the only place I know for certain it was used is the movie "Joe vs. the Volcano". And I have a hard time believing that's the original source. So: anyone?
