Surfing the web, the phrase passed through my head:

Mothers Without Pity

I have no idea what it means. Stopped on the web page I was on, could only find the word "pity"--apparently the mother association is all mine. I will ponder this*, but in the meantime I wanted to record the phrase. It strikes my fancy.
