Went on a research trip to Old World Wisconsin today, a pretty cool place (see new picture to the right for a single sample of the more than 200 pictures I took.) But the day got even cooler when on the way back we stopped at a cool old abandoned building and took some pictures.

Here's all that's visible from the road:



I can't tell if the building burned, collapsed, or was abandonded mid-meal. Here's the interior--note the lunch counter to the left, in front of the fridge and stove:



Wandering through the weeds and brush you can find a number of small outbuildings that I think were rental cabins--all in much the same state as the main building:



Man, every time my digital camera allows me to document cool stuff like this, I love it more and more. One of the best purchases I made this year.

I hope that everyone takes advantage of any chance they have to follow their curiosity--there's lots of neat stuff like this waiting to be discovered...
