Hey, wait a minute--my car loan is through Ford Motor Credit. Does that mean my identity might have been stolen? Question is, would thieves consider Madison an "affluent area"?

Guess I'll be watching my mailbox. The real question is: once I pay off the loan, does Ford still retain the right to check my credit record, or does our relationship end with my final payment? Sure seems like it should...
