Thanks to Bruce Sterling for pointing me towards this proposal to archive information in the DNA of cockroaches.

Links to this are popping up like wildfire, so why not here? Roger Ebert has proposed that everyone record their own commentary tracks for movies (Check out his sample for the first nine minutes of Hitchcock's Notorious.) What a damn cool idea--it might actually convince me to do something with the microphones that came with my computer...
